Scholarships

The Kevin Stavely Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to an eligible Bowie Hockey Club recreational player who may not otherwise be able to afford to play hockey. The scholarship amount is based on the applicant's demonstrated financial need.

Eligibility

• Applicant/player must be a registered Bowie Hockey Club recreational hockey player
• Scholarship recipient may be any age and gender
• Applicants must complete all parts of the online scholarship application

Application Deadline

• Applications must be submitted by August 24, 2026 to be considered
• Late submissions will not be considered

Applications will be reviewed by the Stavely Scholarship Committee. The scholarship recipient will be notified by email or phone on or before September 11, 2026. Please contact sponsorship@bowiehockey.org with any questions.

The Klifford Snowden Memorial Grant is awarded to one Bowie Hockey Club travel player and one recreational player who demonstrate the drive, dedication, and desire required to play ice hockey at a competitive level. The scholarship award is $500 for a travel player and $250 for a recreational player.

The Klifford Snowden Memorial Grant is generously funded by Judith and Fred Snowden in honor of their son, Klifford, a loyal Bowie Hockey Club goalie who was tragically killed in an automobile accident while on his way to practice. His dedication to and enthusiasm for hockey were contagious, and Klifford will forever be remembered as a positive role model and valued team member.
