9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony at Allen Pond Park

On Friday, September 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., the City of Bowie will host a 9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony at Allen Pond Park. We would like to extend an invitation to you to join us for this important occasion.

The ceremony will commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, and honor the lives lost, the first responders and military personnel who served, and the enduring spirit of service, sacrifice, and community that continues to bring us together.

We will be joined by members of Bowie City Council, Prince George’s County leaders, public safety officials, and other community partners as we come together to remember and reflect on this anniversary. Following the ceremony, there will be a silent commemorative walk around the pond.

We hope you will join us on Friday, September 11, 2026, as we come together as a community to remember those who lost their lives and honor those who served our nation and community.
