Which is a better fit for you and your aspiring hockey player? 8U House or Travel?  The information below may help you decide.  Both programs are very good at introducing hockey to young players and are good ways to see what Bowie Hockey is all about.

Travel:

Starts in mid-August with skills sessions and practices.  There will be non-league games starting after Labor Day with CBHL Jamborees November through January. The CBHL tournament is at the end of the season.  Travel played at Silver Stick and Crabtown at Laurel this year and probably will do the same or similar next season.

House:

Starts in October with a mix of 3-1 practices to games through February.  We try and get as many jamborees/games in as possible and will be hosting two jamborees and attending as many as possible at other clubs.  Last year the teams did about 5-6 each.

Rising Squirt:

This will start in January and is for second year 8U players who will be Squirts in next season (time flies).  It is free to all second-year 8U.

Both Mite programs stress development and fun and both will give players a good base for a good future in hockey.

Below is a rough comparison of the two programs.
