All coaches must complete all requirements before participating in any team activities.

• USAH Registration (Yearly for Current Season)
  • Must be completed prior to coaching, on or off the ice.
  • Register with USA Hockey
• Background Screening (Every 2 years)
  • Must be completed prior to coaching, on or off the ice.
  • Start the Background Screening Process
    • ​As part of this online registration process, this account will prompt you to upload a digital image/copy of your ID (driver’s license, passport or non-driver state ID). Please have a jpg, pdf, bmp, gif, tiff, or png file (less than 4MB) available on your computer prior to beginning your registration.
    • If requested, Enter MDH0050 for Bowie when prompted for Association Code.
• USAH Certification  (1 level every year up to level 3 and then maintain or 4/5)
  • Deadline for registration is October 31.
  • Deadline for completion is December 31.
  • Register for a Coaches Clinic.
• USAH Age Specific Module(s) (Once for every age group you coach). Per USA Hockey requirements, Age-Specific Modules "Must be completed PRIOR to participating in any team activities and cannot be added to a roster until completed"
  • TRAVEL COACHES - Deadline for completion is August 15th.
  • REC COACHES - Deadline for completion is October 1st.
  • Register for Age Specific Module.
• Safe Sport Training Certification (Annual requirement)
  • Deadline for completion is August 15 for Travel coaches, and October 1 for Rec coaches.
  • Register for Safe Sport.
  • Please forward the 'Safe Sport Trained' certificate to the  .
• CDC Concussion Awareness Training (every 2 years)
  • Deadline for completion is August 15 for Travel coaches, and October 1 for Rec coaches.
  • Register for Concussion Training.​
  • Once you have completed the training make either a paper copy or electronic copy of your certificate because the website will not keep a record once you leave.
